Overbeck Continues Dominance in WASZP Americas, Gavin Ball in Pursuit

[Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, 30th March] – Overbeck remains unapologetic in his dominance, extending his lead for another day on the fleet. Close on his heels, local talent Gavin Ball also made strides away from the main pack but couldn’t bridge the gap to Overbeck.

The battle for bronze heats up, with positions 8 through 10 fiercely contested. Canadians Chisholm and Macaulay ascended the leaderboards with strong performances, while East Coast America’s Sam Blouin surged into 5th, marking the day’s most significant climb. Positions 6-10 are tightly held by competitors from Switzerland, Denmark, and new leading Australian Nick Dunne, rounding out the group.

In the women’s division, local favorite Pearl Lattanzi maintains her lead, though Bridget Conrad of Australia is steadily closing in.

The Race Committee excelled again, delivering four more exceptional races today, contributing to an outstanding sailing experience.

The fleet racing heads into its final day on Saturday, with four races on the schedule followed by a concluding long-distance challenge on Sunday to wrap up the championship.
