The WASZP Class has announced its 2026 EuroCup schedule, confirming eight events across some of Europe’s most iconic foiling venues. Spanning from May to December, the circuit offers a dynamic blend of conditions—from Atlantic breeze to Mediterranean speed—making it one of the most well-rounded seasons in WASZP racing.
The season opens in mid-May and stretches through December, offering sailors a diverse range of racing conditions, from the breezy lakes of northern Europe to the Mediterranean’s premier foiling hotspots. Competitors will count their best four events toward the championship ranking.
Event-by-Event Breakdown
1. EuroCup France Atlantic – Lanveoc
14–16 May
The series kicks off in Lanveoc in Brittany, France, as part of the prestigious Grand Prix de l’École Navale. A strong French fleet and the perfect foiling waters of the Rade de Brest promise a spectacular launch to the 2026 European season.
2. EuroCup Germany – Flensburg
29–31 May
From France, the action heads north to Flensburg—just south of the Danish border. This event also serves as the German National Championship, drawing foilers from across northern Europe and Scandinavia for a fiercely contested second leg.
3. Foiling Week – Malcesine
27–30 June
Foiling Week needs no introduction. The largest event of the season traditionally sells out, and 2026 will be no different. Garda in the summer remains a bucket-list experience for foilers, spectators, and teams alike.
4. EuroCup Sweden – Lomma
07–09 August
The series then travels north to Lomma, Sweden. The Swedish WASZP fleet is the fastest-growing in the world, rapidly becoming a powerhouse of international WASZP sailing. Expect top-tier competition across all divisions and a fiercely contested championship.
5. EuroCup Univela – Campione
28–30 August
What’s better than sailing Garda once? Sailing it twice. This time the fleet crosses the lake to Campione for another world-class experience beneath the cliffs of Univela. Adding to the excitement, an international training camp is scheduled the week prior, welcoming teams from around the globe for collaborative, high-intensity preparation.
6. EuroCup Imperia – Imperia
25–27 September
Staying in Italy but moving to the coast, the next stop is Imperia—the home base of the Drylaps training group, the most successful organisation in WASZP championship history. With a welcoming yacht club, competitive local fleet, and iconic seaside atmosphere, this leg is a must-attend.
7. EuroCup France Med & French Champs – Bandol
23–25 October
As autumn settles in, the EuroCup heads south to Bandol. Now a staple of the French sailing calendar, Bandol will also host the French Championship, ensuring a massive turnout and a star-studded fleet.
8. EuroCup Spain – To Be Announced
December
The season concludes—following tradition—in sunny Spain. The exact location will be confirmed soon, but one thing is certain: the Spanish fleet has been on fire, making it the perfect place to wrap up the 2026 season.
