Yellow is the brand anchor – every touchpoint must have yellow present. Charcoal replaces black for all dark backgrounds. Never substitute the yellow with gold, mustard, or orange.
Three logo formats cover every application. The shield badge mark is the primary icon. The wordmark is the default for digital and print. The wide secondary lockup is reserved for boat graphics and event signage.
Use the shield mark as a standalone icon. Minimum digital size 32 px. Never distort, recolour, or remove the internal letterforms.
Use the icon mark for app icons, social avatars, and brand moments where the full wordmark isn't practical. Minimum digital size 48 px. Never recolour.
Yellow on charcoal is the primary brand expression. Use black on white or light backgrounds; white on dark or photographic backgrounds where yellow contrast is insufficient.
Wide-format lockup for boat hull graphics, banners, and large-format signage. Not for digital UI. Minimum print size 60 mm wide.
Maintain a clear zone equal to the cap-height of the wordmark on all four sides. No other graphic elements, text, or photography may enter this zone. On photographic backgrounds, always use a dark scrim to ensure legibility.
Three background types create page rhythm – dark charcoal, light grey, and brand yellow. Alternate between dark and light sections to keep pages breathable. Reserve yellow sections for high-impact CTA moments and campaign highlights. Never use plain black.
Poppins bold, all-caps. Yellow is the primary CTA – "Buy a WASZP" on the live site. Outline white for secondary on dark. Never use grey as a primary action colour.
Badges use Poppins bold, all-caps. Yellow is the primary status indicator. Alerts use a left-border accent to communicate state at a glance.

Titles in Mirano Extended bold, all-caps. Category eyebrows in yellow Poppins. Lead with high-energy photography. Never use generic stock imagery.
Always lead with action and authenticity. Boats foiling, sailors competing, fleets at race – never staged, never generic stock. Focus on the fun sailors are having, the location, the community, and the vivid colours of the WASZP. Prioritise photos that capture real moments, real emotion, and real places. Always try to use photos of sailors wearing helmets.
WASZP communicates like a brand that is confident without being arrogant, energetic without being exhausting, and technical without being exclusive. Write like you're talking to someone who loves sailing and wants more of it – not someone who needs to be sold to.
All digital touchpoints must meet WCAG 2.1 AA as a minimum. The WASZP brand's strong contrast between yellow, charcoal, and white naturally supports accessible design – maintain it.
Never use white text on yellow – it fails contrast at 1.9:1. Always use charcoal (#1A1E2A) on yellow backgrounds. Minimum touch target size is 44×44px for all interactive elements.
